Junior Show – NWSS – Denver, CO
We are excited to announce that the American
Chianina Association (ACA) will be hosting a junior heifer show at the 2014
National Western Stock Show. The Jr.
Show will be Monday, January 20th, 2014 and will begin at 9:00 a.m.
“On the Hill”. Rules, regulations and a schedule can be found in the 2014 NWSS
premium book. All entries are due NOVEMBER 20th, 2013.
*The 6.25% rule does not pertain to this
show. Females must carry a ACA Registration
paper.

ALL ENTRIES TO BE MADE THROUGH NATIONAL
WESTERN STOCK SHOW OFFICES
1. Entry fees are fifty ($50.00) dollars per entry, thirty
($30.00) payable to the National Western Stock Show and twenty ($20.00) to be
paid to the American Chianina Association. Send $20.00 per entry to the
American Chianina Association, PO Box 890, Platte City, MO 64079 along with a
copy of the entry form. All Canadian and International exhibitors must pay
all fees in United States funds. American Chianina Association will offer
$1,500.00 in premiums. All premiums will be paid directly from National Western
Stock Show offices.
2. Premiums will be provided by the ACA. Premiums will be paid to the
exhibitors by the National Western Stock Show.
3. Any ACA registered female meeting the show criteria are eligible
to show.
4. ACA registration papers must be presented to the breed
superintendent at the show. All animals with a tattoo not corresponding with
its ACA registration paper will be ineligible to show. All animals must be
REGISTERED with the ACA. Original registration certificates must be presented
to the breed superintendent at check in.
5. Classes will be broke after all animals are checked in at the
show. Individual classes will be divided as equally as possible depending on
the ages and numbers of animals entered.
6. There will be a cow/calf class and the class winner will show for
Grand Champion. Must be a natural calf, at side, with a maximum age limit of
260 days. Calves cannot be split off their dams and shown in individual calf
classes.
7. Exhibitors must be a paid member of the AJCA and must be 8 as of
January 1, 2013 and must not have had their 22nd birthday as of January 1,
2013. Membership may be obtained by contacting the ACA.
8. All females 18 months and older exhibited in the junior show must
have a certificate of pregnancy from a licensed veterinarian or have produced
fertile eggs as certified in a written statement by a licensed veterinarian or
embryologist or have a calf at side.
